Lada has revealed an appealing looking compact SUV concept at the Moscow Motor Show – the Lada XRAY Concept
For those of us who grew up on Lada skips – and even for younger readers who only really know Lada for the Niva 4×4 or the Granta – the appearance of a good-looking Lada Concept - the Lada XRAY – at the Moscow Motor Show is a bit of a surprise. But if we look at who’s behind the XRAY, perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised. Steve Mattin, formerly with Mercedes and Volvo, penned the new Lada, and a very convincing job he’s done.

This is the new 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport, a replacement for the Freelander, and the model that kick-starts the rejuvenation and expansion of the Discovery family. For the past four years it’s been Land Rover’s Range Rover brand getting all the love and attention, first with the Evoque (originally shown as the Land Rover-badged LRX concept), then the full-size Range Rover, and most recently with the Range Sport and LWB Range Rover. Now the focus is shifting, and it’s the turn of the Discovery nameplate, which will grow to encompass a full family of family-focused SUVs.
Woody checks out the Peugeot 5008
Peugeot are planning a big advertising splash in Europe, and have teamed up with Pixar/Disney to use well known characters from the Toy Story films in the ads, which are due to roll out across Europe from this week. The firts advert up is for the Peugeot 5008, a more than competent people shifter from Peugeot (in fact those nice people at Peugeot are due to send us one soon, so look out for a proper in-depth review and road test on the 5008 as we spend a week with it). The advert uses Woody looking for his Cowboy hat to give the excuse to show every nook and cranny and seat shifting trick the 5008 can manage.
